Masters Golf Championship

"Transit" Space Beacon For Sea And Air Lanes
At Cape Canaveral the Transit Satellite is ready for launching. its the second attempt to put this type into orbit, 265 pounds 36 inch sphere will serve as a space beckon for valuable guidance control for air and sea navigation on earth, making it possible for a more accurate system. The launching is notable too for the use of a new type of rocket - The Thor Able Star combination. Space technicians wearing hard hats checking out the Transit Satellite. CUS - The Transit Satellite sphere. MLS - The rocket is sitting and smoking on its launching pad. MS - A large puff of smoke and the rocket slowly lifts off into outer space.
