Mr. Haizlip asks Mr. Kirk if he plans on dabbling more in electronic music, now that it's en vogue; Mr. Kirk replies that to dabble any more than he already has would make him synthetic & dependent upon large companies like Bell Telephone, that he prefers the natural vibrations of music.

Mr. Haizlip asks Mr. Kirk if the roles of music critic, manager, booker & club owner were handled by musicians themselves; Mr. Kirk replies, "I feel that musicians are in tune enough to where they should be able to make some decisions that go on in this country to where the music & how the music should be programmed. I'm tired of working in clubs where you get a guy that calls himself a floor boss & he doesn t know anything about music, he doesn't know anything about you." "The musician is usually the last one to make a decision on something."
