Excellent footage of the Northern Vietnamese "liberation" of Saigon, April 30, 1975 (Fall of Saigon) : tanks roll onto the grounds of the Presidential Palace; North Vietnamese soldiers storm the palace and wave North Vietnamese (Viet Cong) flags from balcony. Newsreel of large celebratory processions that followed: banners, flag waving, cheering, a picture of Ho Chi Minh, military personnel and weaponry on display, etc; spirit evocative of USSR processions. Title screen follows in Russian "The War is Over, the Struggle Continues".

PREVIEW CASSETTE # 212559 A Dan Fry home movie of a UFO believer s convention held at Giant Rock in California, early 1960s var shots Giant Rock (radio antenna perched atop it), adjacent rockface, granite runway, parked cars & trailers & small engine airplanes in crude lot, people congregating. MS man wearing shirt outfitted w/ designs of UFOs. MS man who may be George Van Tassel. MSs attendees. LSs men parachuting to events. Note: Giant Rock is the largest free-standing boulder in the world. Long considered an Indian holy site, the boulder s base was converted into a temperate, livable dwelling by Frank Critzer, a 20th cent. German immigrant and nascent miner. When Frank died under rather strained circumstances (locals regularly accused him of being a Nazi spy), former aircraft engineer George Van Tassel bought the property and turned it into a New Age-y UFO convention spot. Van Tassel is also the designer of the bizarre rejuvenation machine , the Integratron.

This shot is followed by several more shots of the same subject but with slightly different particulars from the same vantage point. Pan left 180 degrees to the green landscaping and such. static wide LS of the grounds on the front of the Monmoth. Taken again with pans. static CU of a red flower budding from a tree. BREAK IN TBC 01:00:30:- static tight LS of the St. James Hotel's lobby. Leather chairs, clocks, deer head trophies, very manly. Followed by several more shots of same from same vantage point but with slightly different particulars 01:02:30:- static tight LS of the St. James' dining room. Large, upscale room with blue tablecloths and pink napkins neatly folded at each prepared setting. The room is empty, as daylight filters in. Taken several more times from same vantage point but with pans right and left. 01:04:20:- CU antique cash register, zoom out to resume former shot of said dining room. Taken several more times, same format. 01:05:32:- tight LS of the St. James' bar, a brandy snifter in the FG; dark and moody room, stocked to the hilt with glasses and top shelf liquor. Taken several more times, including a tilt down from the ceiling on which numerous hats are nailed. Yes, that's right, men's hats nailed to the ceiling. Some shots have the brandy glass in the FG while others don't. 01:08:43:- CU of the bullet holes in the ceiling or wall of the dining room. There are several holes but only one CU at a time. Taken several times for each hole, including fast zooms in and out (really annoying effect). 01:12:00:- static MS of an old fashioned, ornate safe at the St. James. Painted on it is "Hall's Safe and Lock Co.", flowers, tricky border designs, and a earth toned landscape (pond and shore). Taken several more times, all in MS, including the doors being opened to reveal interior of safe. 01:14:13:- MS of the Zane Grey room in the St. James Hotel. It is a very small bedroom with overly patterned, downright ugly, wallpaper, a reddish brown dresser drawer (with rounded mirror attached), and twin size bed which features pink bedsheets and a black metal bedframe. The right side of the bed is too hot (light source beats down on it). Very stifling room, halting even. Taken a few more times fromsame vantage point but with tilts. 01:17:57:- MS Governor Lou Wallace room, the place where Ben Hur was apparently written. Beautiful, dark walnut furniture and bed frame; a pink comforter on the bed; deep blue drapes. This is a larger room with two large windows on each side of the bed; also features a boarded-up fireplace and a clock on the mantle. Taken several times with pans and tilts. 01:21:14:- tight LS of the Wyatt Earp room in the St. James. Room features yellow, tacky wallpaper; an orange and tan carpet; a twin bed with a wood headboard (a cross is engraved on it, too). 01:24:30:- tight LS, from corner of room, of the upstairs suite in the St. James. It is an overenthusiastic room, with no set color scheme except for earth tone hues. It is cluttered with furniture, including a drab orange psychiatric chair. Taken several times with pans right and left. 01:26:00:- MS door and doorway of the Wyatt Earp room. Boring white with bronze number "11". Taken several times with zoom ins on the number. 01:28:22:- CU of the sink in the bathroom of the Wyatt Earp room. Gray with patches of green mildew. Marble tiles in BG. 01:29:14:- LS of the upstairs hallway in the St. James. Long pathway, with red, patterned wallpaper, red carpet,dark brown bookshelves and dressers, and chandeliers.

Continuation of the Elijah Muhammad interview, conducted by Irv Kupcinet. Mr. K asks why Mr. Muhammad was been so vehemently attacking Martin Luther King Jr. and his endeavors. Mr. Muhammad says he wants to address the "white devil" issue first, which he rather incoherently does, somehow summing that all are devils, only to different degrees.

Continuation of Elijah Muhammad interview, conducted by Irv Kupcinet. Mr. K asks why Mr. Muhammad was been so vehemently attacking Martin Luther King Jr. and his endeavors. Mr. Muhammad says that he has not attacked MLK viciously, he has attacked him truthfully, saying that MLK is (was) misguiding & misleading his followers by trying to get them into the brotherhood of white people; says that the differences between blacks & whites are too great, that blacks of MLK's leaning are falling into age-old traps of slave-master mentality. The Nation of Islam wants racial separation to stop racial violence. Mr. K asks if Dr. King was deserving of the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize, to which Mr. Muhammad says that he wasn't, that he hasn't done anything for the black race.

Mr. K asks if he encourages the Black Muslims to vote; Mr. Muhammad says no. Bearing of arms? Mr. Muhammad says he was arrested in 1941 for being a conscientious objector, and that every one of his followers has their own freewill and can make their own decisions. Mr. K asks is there is a relationship between NOI & the Moslem faith. Mr. Muhammad says yes. Closing.
