This commercial features a 30 something woman modeling a suit in front of a prop gate. Nice 60s flip hairstyle. Good 60's fashion. Tight CUs, almost looks like a doll. Silhouetted against the car, then lights go up and she leans against the 4-door Rambler Classic on a turntable.

VO states that the car is beautiful, elegant and exciting just like the model. More great interior shots. Great images of stilted, stiff model posing with car on turntable.

All ECU of action: man's feet walking down steps; hand on door handle opens door, lifts up the seat-reclining handle, push down the headrest, hand turning key in ignition, push power window button, push FM radio buttons, adjust volume, adjust remote-control side-view mirror, move from park into drive on the Flashomatic automatic transmission, drive away. Then a bunch of signs hanging in a studio say: Power steering, Power Brakes, Disk Brakes, etc. Host (fiftyish man) explains these options, rather dully.

Opens with LS of rocket launch. CU of astronaut in full space gear, helmet. MS rocket just after launch - headed skyward. Announcer discusss the special seating made for the astronaut and how important good comfortable seating is. Then we get an intro to the comfortable seats in the new Ramblers. Time-lapse photography of bucket seat going back to seven positions, from normal to stretched out. A hand points with two fingers to the chair. Camera tracks past rows of seats arranged in studio as announcer explains the comfort and safety of the Rambler seats.

Fade up on overhead tracking shot of couple driving in a Rambler convertible. Happy couple, young and in love, with her hair blowing in the wind. Carefree romance. Camera zooms in - following car. CU woman's gloved hand opening glove compartment and pulling out certificate. Cut to announcer in studio who explains that it is a quality control certificate. HE goes on to explain rambler's attention to detail and quality and that "you can take Rambler's quality for granted because Rambler doesn't".

3 different Rambler cars drive on empty roads (this sequence was reused 3 more times in later commercials) everything looks very stark and sterile - except the Rambler of course. Annoucer says:"Whether you drive a compact, or something bigger, or something bigger still you needthe right engine..." Great low angle close shot of "1965" on license place of last car, driving toward camera. Cut to announcer in studio with pristine V8 engines mounted behind him in the studio - (looks more like art installation than advertisemet!) Two Torque-Command V6s. Gorgeous CUs of engines, fans spinning gently in the air, gleaming chrome. Fluid camera circles the engines. Technology worship - oh yeah.

CU of car at gas pump, camera zooms in to pump (counter rotates and stops at $1.90). Narrator says, "Here, six-cylinder engines are great." Then driver POV - car tries to pass a semi-truck while another truck is coming toward it in the opposite lane. Narrator says: "Here six-cylinder engines get you into trouble." (car slows and gets back behind semi). CU V6 engine block - impossibly shiny and gelaming, mounted on set in studio. Announcer talks up the new V6 and V8 engines from Rambler, steps over to a perfectly new crank-shaft and talks about how it works. CU Torque Command crank shaft - turns slowly. Steps back to engine - the V6 is a 6 that drives like an 8 - see for yourself!

WS gray, stark landscape - flat land, bare trees. Dissolve to sparkling new Rambler plant. Long, low, box building - swish pan to lot full of new Ramblers - as far as you can see. Quick cuts of welders at work in the factory - sparks flying - flashy horn music and a loud excited announcer (opposite of previous Rambler commercials). accompany more quick cuts of CUs of assembly work in factory, car parts, car lot, and rambler logos on cars (Classic, 550, Ambassador, 660, Rambler American, 770, American, 990, Classic) CU wheel spinning. More quick shots of workers welding, people at work in factory, walking outside factory, office work: fingers flying typing on an adding machine or possibly a computer; computer reels move back and forth; computer printout comes off printer. Cars on railroad carriers, for transport. Cars being transported out of the factory. Shots of dealerships with big Rambler sign. Showroom. Handshake after deal has been completed. Car driving out of dealership. Sales. Prosperity. Optimism. Annoucner stands outside plant and talks about the "Rambler Revolution" Logo for American Motors Canada.

"Water in contact with metal causes rust..." CU water pouring over car exterior - zoom in to rust spots. "Salt in contact with metal causes corrosion...", CU salt truck sprays salt as it drives by parked car - zoom in to rusted hole in car. Announcer in noisy factory - rustproofing operation in the wroks behind him - suspended car floats into rustproofing chamber as he demonstrates the process with a miniature model Rambler. He dips it in glass containers of water to demonstrate rustproofing. Funny/wacky. Each car dipped six times for more protection. Then shots of real car dipped up to the roof in primer base, then being washed (body only). WS, MS and CU of 3 different ramblers on open, empty roads - (same shots from 2 earlier commercials. Announcer awkwardly walks into frame (he seemed more comfortable in the earlier studio commercials than these location shoots). And talks about body assembly as themen work behind him. CU body welding, as announcer describes Uniside Contruction. CU door slamming, MS unfinished car bodies roll into place. Good factory/garage scenes.
