At end of jingle T. Tommy Cutrer comes on screen and greets Wagoner, who wears classic Nudie Cohen jacket with rhinestone highlights. Wagoner plays guitar and sings "The Crawdad Song;" Norma Jean, Don Warden, Speck Rhodes, and Cutrer all take turns at mic.

Wagoner introduces Roy Drusky, and they talk briefly about Drusky's previous appearance on the show about a year before. Drusky introduces a new song, "Doubtful," which he sings and plays on guitar backed by The Wagonmasters. Wagoner returns and jokes that T. Tommy didn't like Drusky as he was too handsome and too thin.

Over title card, Cutrer introduces Porter Wagoner and the Wagonmasters, regulars Speck Rhodes and Norma Jean, and their special guest star Roy Drusky. Wagoner welcomes audience and solicits cards and letters to find out who they want to see and hear, then suggests that an equally helpful idea for the show would be for everyone to choose Black-Draught laxative. Cutrer pitches Black-Draught in front of logo, followed by close-ups of Black-Draught powder, syrup, and candy-coated tablets. Segment ends with Wagoner and Wagonmasters reprising jingle, with lively fiddle coda by Wagonmaster Jack Little.

Gap-toothed Speck Rhodes comes on wearing his trademark checkered suit with polka-dotted bow tie and bowler hat, joking that he had a nightmare where he was stranded on a desert island with 300 women. Wagoner asks why that would be a problem and Rhodes says that in the dream he was a woman too. Rhodes jokes that while he's out of town everyone should call his girlfriend by the name "Well Enough," and that they should leave Well Enough alone.
