intertitle. MS saloon with a horse tie-up in front. Man walks out and throws his cigarette on the ground. A couple of men ride up and tie up their horses. MS interior saloon. 3 men walk in together and are immediately roughed up. MS bearded man in a hat smoking cigar, looking suspiciously off to the side. MS guys roughing it up at the bar - one guy even shoves the bartender - all in good fun. Ext. another guy rides up to the saloon, ties up his horse. Enters the bar where the bearded guy notices him. The group of roughnecks notice him too and he starts to look nervous. MWS he stands alone and calmly at the bar smoking while the others question and insult him. One guy tries to pull a gun on him but he's too quick and draws first. The others recoil but the bearded man look satisfied. The others attend to the shot man - who appears only to have a mild wound in the arm or hand.
