Introduction to Porter Wagoner show #93. Program opens with Wagoner and Wagonmasters Speck Rhodes, Don Warden, and George McCormick as well as Norma Jean onscreen singing "Howdy Neighbor Howdy." Over title card decorated with drawing of Wagoner, announcer Hairl Hensley introduces Wagoner and The Wagonmasters, show regulars Speck Rhodes and Norma Jean, and "your favorite songs and stars of the Grand Ole Opry!" Wearing rhinestone-studded Nudie suit, Wagoner welcomes audience, then plays guitar and sings a short version of "Will You Be Loving Another Man" from his 1964 LP "The Bluegrass Story," backed by The Wagonmasters. CU Buck Trent and his electric banjo. MCU Mack; after Mack's hot solo, Porter laughs and says "The fiddle's done wore out, isn't it."

Porter introduces guest David Houston, from Shreveport, LA. They chat a bit, then backed by The Wagonmasters, Houston plays guitar and sings "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen." The song is awfully sappy, but Houston's near-operatic vocal control (especially at the tail of the song) is mighty impressive. After the song Porter and David say the song is from Houston's LP "Twelve Great Country hits," but it in fact appears on the previous album "New Voice From Nashville."

Wagoner introduces gap-toothed comedian Speck Rhodes, who enters wearing his trademark checkered suit with bow tie and bowler hat. Rhodes makes joke about fictional girlfriend Sadie.
