Profile view of Biden at the podium. Shot of audience seated around dinner tables. CU of Biden as the audio kicks in. He gives a football analogy. He states "There are always going to be those people who are going to be off-sides, who are gonna clip, who are gonna punch at the bottom of the pile. But there are very few athletes who will walk across the field before the game and spike the other teams water bucket with a sleeping potion". A few members of the audience chukle. Biden says that his comments are not meant to be funny. "If the allegations that have been made are true, that's about what happened. We went beyond the confines of the whole structure. We went off of the playing field to commit our sins. We crippled the other team before they could even get on to the playing field. Which is a great deal different than clipping or punching at the bottom of the pile." (These comments might be related to the Watergate scandal.)
