I believe it is critically important for people who live in our nation s large urban areas and Washington officials, to see what is happening in rural America. Chuck Van Petten, Atchison Kansas Veterinarian, testifies . . . but those of us involved in agriculture, both service and direct sales, feel you are asking us to do like the American farmer - take more than our share.

Chuck Van Petten, Atchison Kansas Veterinarian, I think the Congressmen that were there got some good facts and some good information. I was impressed with the content of most of the testimony. The economists, they gave solid answers. There were no people up there just to complain. And I think that made the Congress listen.

Car Accident Scenario: LS teen boys playing a recreational sandlot baseball game. GV baseball game as batter swings. MS boy in outfield catching the ball. Slightly elevated GV of boy running along residential sidewalk, running to meet his friends across gathered across the street, he carries a baseball bat & waves. Ground level MS boy running toward camera, stopping at street curb. MCU boy cupping his hands around his mouth, shouting for his friend to hurry. MCU boy waving. CU stoplight. Slightly elevated GV boy with bat darting into the street. MS car driving at high speed. CU male driver's panic stricken face as he realizes he's about to hit the boy. Rear MS boy standing in street with his arms raised as car is heading toward him. CU driver's foot slamming on the breaks. CU boy's face yelling in fear. CU emergency lights on top of ambulance as it speeds along road. MS ambulance driving. LS police & paramedic at the accident scene, boy is laying on stretcher as crowd of on-lookers stand by. MS police & paramedics lifting boy into ambulance. CU faces of on-lookers, woman shakes her head in a "what a shame" manner. MS ambulance pulling away, pan to skid mark & boy's broken bat in street.

MS anesthesiologist preparing anesthesia mask. MS team of masked surgeons standing around on the operating table as anesthesia mask is raised above boy's face. MCU masked surgeon. MCU two masked surgeons coldly staring into camera. POV from patient's perspective as cold & frightening anesthesiologist lowers the mask.

Coma Induced Dream Sequence-Battle between Good Judgment & Bad Impulse: Hypnotic spiraling swirl, simulating a dream or hallucination. CU boy laying in bed with bandage wrapped around his head, he awakes blinking his eyes in adjustment. The battle between Good Judgment & Bad Impulse begins: Various shots of boy laying in hospital bed as he listens to the arguments of his subconscious, on the left "Good Judgment" on the right "Bad Impulse". By the use of convincing 1950's era special effects the two sides of the boy's brain are represented by miniature versions of himself standing on nightstands above his bed, duking it out in the classic good vs. bad intellectual debate, in this instance in reference to road safety. "Good Judgment" is clean-cut, polite & understanding. "Bad Impulse" is slouched & has a bad attitude.
