Large Estate
Large Estate - Good source for summer fashion circa late 1920's/early 1930's. United States LS pans of large residential yard bordered by well established foliage. Great TLS young man w/two young women existing large estate/home and walking toward camera, all are dressed for summer weather, women wear matching knee-length dresses and Cloche hats (flappers) while the man wears a light colored suit w/Panama hat. CU young man in the Panama hat. CU pretty young woman shyly looking at camera. LS pan exterior of the estate. MS as smiling pre-teen aged boy opens a wrought iron gate and walks toward camera, front entrance to house is seen in the background. Brief MS of teen aged girl wearing a Cloche hat, she looks surprised that she is being filmed.

Children Playing With Dogs United States MS a Wire Fox Terrier dog walking on a sidewalk. Tilt up to a young boy standing on the sidewalk. MS Boy clapping his hands to call the dog back to him. The boy is wearing chaps with fringe, cowboy boots, a western shirt with a handkerchief tied around his neck, and a cowboy hat (cowboy costume, cowboy outfit). A small black Boston Terrier with white markings on his face and feet bounds up to the boy with the wire fox terrier running right behind him. The larger dog stretches on his hind legs to play with the boy. Both dogs playing with the boy and vying for his attention with each other. A woman in 1930s fashion (dark dress with flowered details at the waist and high-heeled shoes) stepping into frame and calling the dogs to her (boy's mother, mom, caretaker, nanny ?). Dogs following the woman until she walks out of frame. The child has taken a seat in a chair by the sidewalk (bench, lawn furniture ?). MS Dog walking up to the seated boy. MS two boys in rodeo attire playing with their lassoes, these kids have skill. Various CUs of the boys and their lassoes. MS Young boys trying to twirl their lassoes in front of them, sometimes succeeding in jumping through the rope (rodeo trick). CU of them waving their cowboy hats at the camera.

MS Man (cowboy) standing on a horse's back at a rodeo with a faint Ferris wheel in background (stunt). A sign to the cowboy's right reads "Happy Jack's Saloon." MS As the man jumps off of the horse and steadies his cowboy hat. Cut to a young boy in striped pants and a western shirt twirling a lasso around his waist. A younger boy behind him in a black and white western shirt and cowboy boots also experiments with the lasso. He practices spinning the lasso and jumping through the twirling rope before jumping back out. The first boy also tries his hand (less successfully) at this trick.

Good CU boys as they sit on the fence at the enclosure. MS Boys in and around a holding pen at the rodeo. MS Boy holding onto the rope that keeps the pen door closed as another child climbs on the back of the penned horse. Boy opens the gate and the horse lightly bucks its young rider who waves his hat at the camera.

Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Egg Hunt United States MS Family in a backyard on an Easter egg hunt with their backs to the camera. Two young girls and a young boy all carry Easter baskets in which to collect their eggs. MS The family and an elderly woman (grandma) search around the yard for the hidden eggs. Both small girls wear their hair in curls. The eldest daughter is wearing a pink day dress, and the youngest girl wears a plaid, collared dress with a blue coat and has a red ribbon in her hair. The youngest, a boy, wears a blue woolen suit with shorts and light blue, buttoned shirt. This toddler often holds his mother's hand as he searches for the eggs with his sisters. The mother wears a mustard-colored blazer and a dark green (or gray) long skirt. The father wears a brown suit and he carries a hat. The grandmother wears a gray skirted suit. VS Children searching for eggs. The tulips in the yard are in full bloom, and there are various Easter decorations placed around the yard (plastic bunnies and ducks). An elderly gentleman (grandpa) joins the festivities. Great MS Two sisters running at the camera holding up their eggs proudly.

MS Another older woman in a grey blazer holds the baby. The young woman with flowers in her hair now wears a fur coat as she admires the baby in the arms of the older woman (grandma). The younger girls look on and ham for the camera. The father cradles the head of the baby in the arms of the grandma.

A blue, two-door sedan from the 1930s drives very slowly up a driveway. A man in a hat smiles widely through the driver-side window. The driver, dressed in a gray trench coat, white button-down shirt, red tie, and slacks puts his arm around an older woman with glasses on as she holds a small baby who is bundled up in a blanket. A small girl with a bow in her hair looks on at the woman and baby. A young woman (the mother?) with flowers in her hair, dressed in a stylish blue silk dress with crystal embellishments, helps to recover (swaddle) the baby in a blanket. The small girl (c. aged 6) holds up an egg (an Easter egg?). The young woman hands a basket back to the young girl, as another young girl (c. aged 10) looks on.

MS Man places the eyeglasses in his front shirt pocket and clapping his hands. He plays catch with a large rubber ball with the small girl (who is, in parts, off-screen). MS Women's feet in high-heeled shoes standing on a small set of concrete steps. A blue 1930s sedan's hood is visible in the frame, as well. MS A young girl (c. age 10) in a pink dress smiling at the camera as a women holds a small baby in her arms. The young girl smoothes the hair on the baby's head with her fingers, and the adult woman removes the girl's fingers from the infant. Other adult females coo and smile at the baby, while the girl in the pink dress folds her hands in front of her and smiles for the camera. Another small girl (c. age 6) wanders into the group. The youngest girl is wearing a red plaid dress and she is wearing a curled up jump rope on her head (see catalog # 529875 for more explanation). MS woman in yellow suit jacket (blazer) and skirt holds the baby (who is now wearing a bonnet or a hat) up to her face. The woman showing off the baby to the camera and comforting the little one when he or she gets fussy.
