Pirro and the Telephone - Bizarre children's educational film about telephones (telephone terminology, etiquette, phone books etc) staring Pirro, a marionette, he uses a telephone for the first time with assistance from his puppet master Pat Patterson.

MS/MCUs Pirro the Clown (marionette) and puppeteer Pat Patterson entering frame, two chairs & a telephone book on stage; Pirro gets onto chair with some difficulty, then wants Pat to read the telephone book for him, they flip through the pages as Pat explains that it s not a story book but a telephone book.
Pat Patterson closes places a rotary in front of Pirro the Clown (marionette), Pat begins to explains to Pirro what the telephone is for when it rings, scaring him; Pat answers, talks to the operator while trying to console Pirro who eventually climbs onto the table & almost falls off. Pirro checks under the table, thinking that the operator is under there. Pat brings the phone down to Pirro, showing him how to use it.
Pat Patterson dials O for the operator, places receiver down for Pirro the Clown (marionette), to talk with her; the operator sweet-talks the bashful Pirro, but he doesn t want to talk, instead hugging Pat's leg.
Pirro the Clown (marionette), with help from Pat Patterson decides to make a call-- to the operator! Pirro has a crush! "The End" title card.
