On preview 97517. A classic survey of the United States, and the variety of ways that people make a living here. Printing press, steel making scenes, Chicago street scene, automobile assembly, ships carrying iron ore in the Great Lakes, cars and trucks on highway, railroad engines pulling freight trains past industrial sites. Good survey footage; not a lot of detail, but good establishing or representative views of these areas of commerce. Surveyors and house building in a new suburb, and a nice overhead shot of all kinds of people on a street corner or in a train station, milling about: a good collection of 1950s types.
