Good MS Ronald Reagan, Well, I am in great and violent disagreement with those in Congress that believe we should be fighting the recession instead of inflation. I think inflation is the cause of our problems. We ve had almost 40 years of a deliberate, planned inflation. This was called The New Economics. This was the philosophy behind The New Deal, The Fair Deal, The Great Society, whatever. And I protested about it then, that it never has worked in history and I think what we need to do is to fight inflation. And to do that we have to reduce the size and cost of government. We have got to balance the budget. We ve got to allow more capitol to remain in private hands for the expansion of industry, to give our people the jobs they need. And certainly we ve got to allow the people to have more of their earnings in their pockets to spend, rather than government spending it for them. Right now government is very close to the half way mark, taking half of every dollar earned in this country.
