We must realize that these responsibilities are continuous. Even ithe emergency aspects of the job are not yet behind us. (film cuts and picks up later in speech) ...on the grounds that this would mean interference by nations in the internal affairs of others. This is as fallacious as a refusal of man to enter a profitable business partnership on the grounds that it would interfere with his private affairs. Surely after two world wars nations would have learned the folly of a nationalism so extretme as to block economic planning among nationas for peaceful reconstructions. In the spirit of truth spread throughout the world so shall there be understanding and justice among men. This is the foudnation for peace. A Peace which is not merely the absence of war but a deep lasting peace built upon mutual respect and tolerance. Our goal must be not peace in our time but peace for all time.
