WACO HEARINGS: 9:29 - 10:32AM - Master Number 10915 - INTRODUCTION: The following footage from the second day of the Waco Hearings begins by showing various Congressmen and women giving their opening statements. Additional coverage shows a debate between Democratic and Republican Representatives over the involvement of the National Rife Association in the planning of the Hearings. No testimony has been given by any panelists thus far. 09:29:31 The Sub-Committee Chamber is shown in recess prior to commencement. 09:42:45 Republican Congressmen McCollum and Zeliff are shown briefing the press core about the Hearings first day, and about the second day's schedule. Next, Democratic Congressman Schumer gives his party's briefing to the press. 09:47:12 Chairman McCollum brings the Chamber back to order, and gives an overview of the coming day. 09:50:05 Rep. Buyer gives his party's opening statement. 09:53:33 Mr. Taylor makes a point of parliamentary inquiry concerning additional witnesses he wants brought before the Chamber. After Chairman McCollum responds, Mr. Conyers addresses the concerns of Mr. Taylor. 09:55:15 Congressmen Schumer begins his party's opening statement. 09:58:07 Congressmen Zeliff beings his opening statement. 10:03:20 Congresswoman Thurman begins her opening statement. 10:04:26 Chairman McCollum begins to proceed with the Hearings.
