A woman in a white gown performs a skirt dance, using her arms to produce circles and other patterns within the folds of her costume. Her legs and feet appear to be bare. She twirls the fabric around her body so that she appears to be imitating a butterfly or humming bird. *** This is an excellent example of the use of moving pictures. An act like this exploited the novelity of motion on film. ***
