Follow the languid exploits of Jim, a wide-eyed elementary student w/ freckles and light red hair as he plots a science/math project accurately depicting the distance between the sun and the earth. Beware, this film is meticulous and extremely slow in its pace exactly as how you remember it. MS/CUs Jim working on project, only to get frustrated and quietly despondent with the limitations of traditional American units of measuring. ECUs paper, ruler, math problems. Professional engineer Dad offers son Jim his meter stick. ECU stick. MSs Jim working w/ meter stick, creating mock-meter stick w/ sheet of cardboard.
