Firefighter Training Exercise
Cam follows the action of a fire drill,/training exercise for firemen. Starts with shots of the fire in a one-story house on a residential street at night in winter, snow on ground. Continues through the action as trucks arrive on the scene and the firemen go to work. Action here is pretty mild and these guys are clearly in training, but there are some good shots of them at work in and around a smoke filled house, good shots of the trucks too. Audio except where noted.

MOS. Firemen at work in smoke filled house, night. MS cam follows two firemen into house, smoke all over. They walk through smoke, crawl on ground with flashlights looking around (for people?). They make it outside to the backyard of the house, snow on the ground andin the trees, smoke in the air.

Starts MOS but then audio kicks in. MS man waling away from cam, across residential street. Night. Stands on curb with two 7-8 yr. old girls - all staring past camera, across the street. Snow on the lawns of this residential street. CU one little blond girl -she's smiling, looks excited to see the fire. MS man, probably her dad, with her. AUDIO: nat sot. Cam moves behind man and girl, OTS as they watch the flames in the house. Man and fire marshall talk about effects of the fire on the house, building materials. Girl asks if the fire can go through the ceiling. He explains that it can.

WS residential street at night. Bright headlights from firetruck cause lens flare. Closer shot truck "Riverside Fire Rescue." Firemen strap on their tanks and equipment. One fireman shouts orders at the others. Another firetruck pulls up alonside, close to and past camera. Flashinglights and everything. Firemano n truck climbs down with hose nozzle - looks like he's struggling with it a bit. Pulls hose off truck and runs. Another one comes to the truck and takes out an axe from the side panel. Cam follows him from behind as he walks.

Cam follows fireman - carrying an axe - as he approaches house. Lots of firemen on the lawn, everyone is in full gear, masks, tanks, etc. They're shouting instructions to each other. Some start to go into the house, feeding the hose through. Cam outside on snow covered lawn.

blurry, hazy shot of firmen on snowy lawn in front of house, flashing lights. Looks like lens is fogged a bit - nice effect. Cam walks to other side of street. MS of house, back of fire truck on street. Zoom in to firemen on roof of house. Smoke all over. Pan from street with firtrucks over to the house, zoom in to two firemen on the roof hacking through the roof.

Very low audio levels. Group of firemen on snowy lawn in front of house discuss the situation. Other firemen in front of house wearing masks to the same. CU two firemen emerge from house with a dummy, mannequin. They lay iton the snow in front of the house. Cam follows action as firemen continue to instruct each other and move into house to get more 'victims'. Good shouts of firmen crawling inside house. Cam comes outside again, fogged lens (nice). WS pan street with trucks, flashing lights.

Very low audio levels. Static shot MS groups of firemen in street by trucks watching. Cam walks, pans around as firemen work on house fire and other looks on. CU fireman in charge of this drill, as it follows him you see the mannequins/dummies in the snow kind of haphazardly strewn there. CU mannequin in the snow. He give instructions on his radio.

Two firemen on the ground near a doorway pull a dummy./mannequin out. They kind of drag it out - goot hing it isn't real. They go back in for more. Two firemen go to a door at the side of the house, break it open. Cam tilts up to group of firemen on the roof.
