South African Farmer Attacks Prime Minister. Prime Minister of South Africa, Enrich Verwoerd at agricultural show, photographers. He steps up toward a podium. MS - You really can't see it but the Prime Minister gets shot. Cutaway, then back to podium. man seems to wrestle another man (assailant???) to the ground. Photographer aims at camera. Two men gather round the Prime Minister who is down, eyes closed and blood on his face is being held by one of his friends. Looks like blood is coming from his nose and/or mouth (VO says he was shot twice in the head). He's still alive; his companion gets angry, apparently at the press crowding in. MS - Prime Minister Enrich Verwoerd being carried away.
