In which there were all kind of predictions about how the world would go hungry & people would start killing each other for a glass of water or killing each other for a piece of bread. Although those predictions have not come through as they were expected, there is a problem & I became very aware then of how precious water is. For the first time I started thinking from where it comes & what it takes to bring the water to each person; what water means to agriculture & why there are places that are so well developed & others that are not. It depends mostly on the water. There are wars about a drop of water. All that I learned when I was working for FAO, but very few people have the privilege of learning that. So for me it was like a revelation, I have become all my life very aware of the resources."
