Jeanne Cummings makes a point to say that pressure from Congress to the White House is increasing to have some kind of plan to withdraw troops from Iraq before the November elections. David Broder believes this pressure s origins are from the people/voters. Janet Hook also adds that Congress will review domestic wiretapping and the anti-terror bill when it returns to session. Gebe Martinez agrees and adds that there will be more Congressional oversight and scrutiny on these matters especially since the White House has been asking for more appropriations regarding anti-terror, surveillance, and war funding.
