MCU Frank Reel during interview talking about war crime tribunals, stating the outcome of the trials were somewhat new, making defendant General Yamashita accountable not only for his actions but responsible for the criminal actions of his troops. To answer the second question posed, Reel does believe the US is bound by international law.

Various shots as Alfred Seidl responds by stating that all states are bound by the Nuremberg principles. He goes on to say, that on the other hand, nobody can be condemned of an act that was not punishable at the time the act was committed. Seidl goes on to make a second point, only one side of the warring parties was accused at Nuremberg, though both sides performed acts of war that could be seen as crimes against humanity.
