The great French luxury liner Normandie arrives in New York on her maiden voyage with a new Trans-Atlantic record. It's the gala debut of an ill-starred vessel. Four years later war broke out and she was tied up in New York. Later, the Navy began to convert her to a transport and she caught fire. Despite heroic efforts of New York City firemen, she capsized at her pier. Salvage New York, New York
