The annual event is part of the volunteer firemen s fair and pony auction. Most of the heard belongs to the smoke eaters. And if you can round up pop, mom and the kids won't be far behind. Once ashore the herd hits the road to the carnival grounds and there they are auctioned off for charity.

Don Howser signs off, the credits roll, Speck struts around his bass, Dolly, Don, and Speck jump and down like maniacs, and Mack fiddles and dances us off the air. End title super reads "Produced By Show Biz in cooperation with WSM-TV."

Mr. and Mrs. John Q are out in force and so are many notables from the film colony. Fred Astaire in the crowd, his horse Triplicate is posted 7 to 1 for the one hundred thousand turf classic. The stretch is the payoff coming on the outside is Triplicate and it's Triplicate whose the gilded winner of the Gold Cup horse race.
Track Race
Track Race. Shot of stadium. Athletes start race. Overhead shot of atheletes running past the camera down track. One runner in black shorts (#300) gets ahead of the pack and stays ahead. A man in white shorts (#329) catches up and passes black shorts to win the race. He collapses into the arms of a crowd. Both #329 and #300 hold each other up while congratulated. Runner 349 weaves drunkenly around the track, collapses and lies on the ground. Pan from officals to #349 on the ground.

Which while not perfect are solutions which can be defended. ...large or small can be insensitive to world opinion. The first weapon to be used in war was dropped on Hiroshima at 9:15 am Monday, August 6th, dropped by a super fortress named the Enola Gay (the pilot's mother's name).
