News in Brief: Texas, Civil War Veteran Passes Away. Very old Caucasian man, old Caucasian woman, and others look at camera (family?). Hillbillies? Cake with Confederate flag decoration in icing, also "Happy 112... Col. Williams." Young woman guides hand of the elderly man to cut the birthday cake. U.S. flag flying at half mast atop building (pretty generic-looking, can't tell location). Wake: Mourners file by open casket of the very thin, frail old man. Plaque: "Gen Walter Washington Williams 1959." Outdoor gravesite funeral setting. Soldiers hold a Confederate flag (apparently was on the coffin?). Crowd of mourners, flowers for funeral. Soldiers fire guns in salute. (This man might have been the last surviving soldier of the Confederacy, and indeed the last surviving Civil War veteran - but it seems his status is disputed.)

Three Die In Austin Fire Heavy smoke covers the area many people standing around. Firemen's hoses are laid out on the street. Firemen and other rescue workers console some of the people as they come out of the hotel. A fatality (fire victim) is carried off. When settled, three souls died in this large Austin, Texas fire.

Santa's Mail: Three men and one woman travel by passenger train. MS as they're walking with big smiles on their faces. Men unloading a dump truck that's loaded with bags and bags of mail. The bags are filled with mail to Santa. Man and a woman being interviewed by the press. This looks like a family winter project, the father empties the bag of mail on to the table. Four little children cutting the pictures out of the Christmas Cards. It looks like the mail is from around the world.

McCoo and Davis return to finish comedy bit, then Dolly wraps the show by singing the standard show closer "I Will Always Love You" as end credits roll.

Canandian Clover Leafs It's the season for Ice Hockey in Canada. One team is the Canandian Clover Leafs. Two hockey players face off and the game begins, the puck is hit and slides from one player to another. Looks like there's some checking going on and slaming into the wall.

Wolf Hunted To Prevent His Hunting Man is in the woods, he leans his rifle against a small tree and he checks out the carcass of a dead buck that has been partially eaten. All that is left is his legs and his antlers. Another man is checking another carcass. The camera pans down to show rabbit tracks and the tracks of a wolf that is in pursuit. LS of a wolf running into the woods. LS of wolf pack running on a frozen lake. A hunting party made of all men gather together to hunt down the wolfs. A nice MS of a wolf and CU of the hunter shooting him down. MS of the dead wolf. A hunter picks up the wolf by the legs and slams the carcass on to the frozen ground. Man at some government station with the hide of a wolf.

They're all seated at a horse shoe table in a large room. Headed up by a large desk where VIP's are seated. (The creation of the North Atlantic Treaty was in compliance to the United Nations Charter. The members states of the North Atlantic Alliance based their action on the "inherent right of individual or collective self defense). Their idea was to integrate defense pacts...isolationism and Europe.

Lumber Into Paper Men and women walking together into a paper mill. Their getting a first hand view how paper is made. The first shot is this large machine dumping logs into a waterway. CU of two men watching this logging procedure. Large machine lifting logs out of the waterway and their place on a large conveyer belt. Then each log is dropped into a log slot and ground up and put into this huge vat. The next shot CU of large rolls of white paper. Some men are holding the paper up to the light looking at its quality. The guest are walking through the paper mill.

Break Ground For New Miami Beach Theatre The dignitaries are breaking ground for a new Miami Beach theatre. "Wometco's Carib Theatre." Two men speaking on a microphone, crowds standing around. A large crowd of people gathered together in the inside of the theatre. People are smiling as they put a time capsule into a hole that will later on be filled with cement.

Memorial Service Lawrence A Steinhardt U.S Diplomat The American Flag flying half mass at the United States Embassy in Canada in honor of Lawrence Adolph Steinhardt. Sergeant, United States Army and U.S. Diplomat to Canada. He died on March 28, 1950 in the crash of a military transport plane near Ramsayville, Ontario while enroute from his post as Ambassador to Canada to New York. He was returned to the United States and Buried in Arlington National Cemetery. The people of Canada pay tribute to Laurence A Steinhard who was 58 years old.

Dolly show Ep 112 - Dolly Parton & Lynn Anderson "That'll Be The Day"
Opening of The Dolly Show #112 with special guest Lynn Anderson. To the strains of Dolly's record "Love Is Like A Butterfly" we fade up on a plastic prop butterfly lit with pulsating pastel blue and violet lights. Camera pulls out to reveal the butterfly as part of a giant sparkly sign that reads simply "Dolly." As the sign rises into the rafters, the lights come up on the set and Lynn Anderson, dressed as Dolly Parton (complete with red dress decorated with a rhinestone flower and massive fake bust), is lowered from the ceiling on a swing as a voice-over announces Dolly. To canned applause, Lynn Anderson as Dolly steps off the red velvet swing and sings "That'll Be The Day." The real Dolly immediately interrupts the proceedings, and she and Anderson compare notes on whether or not Anderson's costume is "too much." "That'll be the day" is Anderson's response, and the two of them duet on the rest of the song. Parton blows a line, singing that she doesn't care that she forgot it, and in general is on the verge of hysterics for the remainder of the song, giggling madly. Afterwards Anderson, referring to her imitation bust line, says "All this excess baggage is hard on my lungs," and Dolly looks Anderson up and down, saying "Is that how I look?" Funny, surreal, charming clip.
