FDR (President Franklin Delano Roosevelt) disembarks a ship, shakes hands, rides away in a car -- the men running alongside might be Secret Service. Onlookers include a group of Boy Scouts (?). Man speaks at podium labeled NBC into microphone. Crowded streets. Man and woman walk along amid crowd, man (Al Smith?) tips his hat to crowd, smiling. Postmaster General James Farley (?), singer John McCormack (?). Many in crowd are well-dressed. VO says this is Easter parade. Motorcycles escort small plane, taxiing. Amelia Earhart, surrounded by men (reporters?). Another woman, Bernadine King (?), climbs into small airplane. Air to air shots of plane flying upside down. Aerial stunt.

Underwater shots of underwater vehicle (very small submarine vessel), fish swimming by. The craft looks like a spaceship or flying saucer, only underwater. VO mentions Jacques Cousteau as developer of it. Looks like a very small submarine small fish swimming around the sub. POV - From underneath the submarine it looks like a flying saucer. Riots & Reform: Korea Upheavals Shake Government Scenes in a climatic demonstrations in a series of popular protest that lead to almost unprecedented that lead, almost to United States recruiting, and the resignation of the Rhee governments cabinet. For weeks the series of demonstrations of mounting turbulence has signaled resentment and alleged frauds and police tactics and the recent elections that has brought Sigmund Rhee a land slide fourth term victory. Now police crack down with new sternness and the opposition Democratic Party and firebrand student rule bear the brunt of authorities so called restoration of credence. Clashes between demonstrators and police have resulted in hundreds of deaths since the election with far times as many injuries. A pledge from President Rhee that he will regress major grievances and the registration or mass of his entire cabinet. Student are protesting for a free Democracy and the government take responsibility for economic development as they did in Europe. Throngs of students gather to protest economic development. CUS - Students wearing head bands working the crowd.. MS - Police forcing the crowds back holding bill clubs in their hands. MS - One student was knocked down to the ground and is holding his leg. MS - The crowd on the march down the middle of the street with their arms wrapped around each other, police can't hold them back. MCUS - A huge mass of students on top of a flat bed truck driving down the streets of Seoul. MCUS - Women have joined in the protesting, one is protesting holding a large basket on her head. The tryouts in these films consist of two events, one a series of stunts and freefalls before pulling the rip cord, the other precision jumps from 7000 feet is scored for accurately and landing. Korea crisis deepens and party men themselves heated arguments and scuffles evidence of the deep rift in the republics national life has come in the wake of wide spread riots and of the Rhee governments proposed reforms. Reforms sharply criticized by the opposition as meeting President Sigmund Rhee strong man's power unaffected. Throughout South Korea the nations in mourninng overr the hundreds who have lost their lives in a series of angry and viloent clashes with police, while protesting the alledgely rigged national elections that brought the dawn of a troubled era. Rioters Triumph: Rhee Government Falls; Vice President Dead
Rhee Government Falls; Vice President Dead. The climatic moments in Korea's revolution by riot. Unarmed throngs rage through the streets in the last of the protest against election irregularities before Syngman Rhee bowed to the will of his people and outside pressures by resigning. A mob stormed the house of Vice President elect Lee Kee Fung, Rhee's long time associate who allegedly rigged elections sparked the student riotous fury. Rhee had already resigned when the mob attacked. They blamed Rhee for the police crack-down where a 150 demonstrators where shot and killed. Revenge is the cry and the house is sacked and burned. Only an American flag being spared by the rioters. Lee Kee Fung's house and reputation lay in ruin. The next day in a murder suicide pact, his sons shown with him in better days, pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Lee. Lee's wife, Lee's other son and himself. The after note of Korea's un-armed revolution. Folks rise to put an end to political mellow drama and street clashes, with the appointment of Foreign Minister Fue Chung as acting President. Huge crowds of young people (mostly men, a few women) stand near a barricade, behind which armed soldiers stand. Young people ride atop a tank into the crowd. Night, unruly mob shakes fists in the air, seems to be surrounding a building. Day, smoldering ruins and rubble. Flashback (?): group of photographers take pictures of family (?), posing; this seems to be the vice president and his family, according to the VO. Korean men in business suits (political leaders?) walk around.

Hundreds are trapped in fallen structures while menaced by poisonous snakes routed from their lairs from by the up-heavel.
