Dr. ERIK RASMUSSEN, VORTEX Director at NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma gives overview of VORTEX (Verification of the Origin of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment) project. He says the primary objective is to understand what cause tornadoes to form. He says that it is safe to say that VORTEX will revolutionize tornado understanding.
