Coming out of the commercial we see Porter with Norma Jean's daughter Roma Lynn perched adorably on his shoulder. Wagoner has her make some funny faces, then asks if she knows who's up next and she whispers "Speck." Gap-toothed comedian Speck Rhodes, wearing his trademark checkered suit with bow tie and bowler hat, places a call on his old-time crank style telephone. Speck chats with fictional girlfriend/ operator Sadie and stale and corny old-fashioned jokes ensue.

Porter introduces shy, unassuming Eddie Ware, who sang a little earlier with Stonewall Jackson. Jackson returns and Porter tells of his history, of how he came from the cotton fields and made a name for himself in Nashville. Backed by The Wagonmasters, Stonewall plays guitar and sings his latest record, the Harlan Howard composition "The Minute Men (Are Turning In Their Graves)." The number lambastes anti-Vietnam war protestors and claims that "Washington and Jefferson are crying tears of shame" because these cowardly men won't defend their homeland. "Dear Lord I've got one little prayer/I pray in years to come/don't ever let those kind of people/serve in Washington." At the end Porter says "Isn't that great? Fine song, Stonewall."
