MS Highland Park high school principal wearing god-awful checkered suit jacket, saying that Hinckley had no previous disciplinary incidents, that his school records are not available to the public though they will be available to the FBI. CU street sign for 4200 block of Beverly Drive. Obviously, this was shot in response to Hinckley's attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan in 1981.

Lazarus Abortion
MCU of a young Caucasian woman with long brown hair standing in front of a brick wall, talking into a microphone, calling for the need of an abortion clinic in her community, claiming that it s not right for women to have to travel to New York or Michigan in order to "control their own reproductive lives. It's a natural, basic, democratic right of every woman." Reporter, from off screen, asks the woman if she has intentions of countering the anti-abortion demonstrations that are taking place. Woman claims that she will find legal ways of countering the anti-abortion supporters if they prevent the clinic from being built.

Rocky's Pawn Shop
On Preview Cassette 210171 A MS white female reporter outside Rocky s Pawn Shop in Dallas, owned by Rocky Goldstein, who drew national attention in March 1981, as the pawnbroker who sold John Hinckley, Jr. the .22 caliber handgun used in the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan. This footage was shot shortly after the assassination attempt. MS people entering pawn shop while bodyguard wearing dark suit and sunglasses stands sentry & entrance. Weather Rain
MS city bus stopped at the curb with its door open and windshield wipers on, a little old lady with a scarf on her head steps off the bus and opens an umbrella, camera pans to watch her walk down the sidewalk. MS pedestrians crossing an urban street, woman wearing a dress has her sweater pulled up over her head in order to avoid the rain, young woman crosses the street in the opposite direction wearing plaid bellbottom pants and carrying a black umbrella and yellow handbag.

1981. LS homes & property damaged by tornado. LS commercial building damaged by tornado, cars passing in FG. TLS severely damaged home, destroyed car in driveway. LS bulldozer leveling destroyed house. TLS telephone repairman climbing telephone pole. TLSs people walking about neighborhood destroyed by tornado, inspecting extensive home & property damage. Major disaster. TLS two men loading home appliance (seriously, I can t tell if it s a stove or a dishwasher). MS fifty-ish white man being interviewed about the tornado, saying that he s never experienced one this bad before. More TLS/LSs home and property damage, including nice shot of an American flag flying from rubble heap where home used to be. Must have one major twister to create this much damage. MS remnants of bathroom, toilet and bathtub intact. MS white mother and three young sons eating meal on grass by pickup truck. LS damaged church, angled cross.
I-77 Route
TLS classic 1970's gas guzzling cars and trucks are moving toward the camera, pan to capture traffic moving in both directions, a line of orange and white construction barrels line the median of the road. GV newly paved road void of cars, pan RT past median to reveal an open road with vehicles traveling in both directions.
Soap Box Derby Scandal
GV panel of four Caucasian men seated behind a long table, table has several microphones placed on it. (press conference) CU man from the panel wearing a checkered sports coat and metal framed glasses, he talks about a scandal that has occurred at the annual Soap Box Derby. Apparently, the winning car was rigged with a magnet, man states that X-Ray shows that a magnet was placed in the nose of the car, the magnet was activated by a switch located in the cockpit of the vehicle. CU view of the X-Ray, showing the bleached out magnet and steering control. CU of hand reaching into the cockpit of the derby car, lettering on the outside of the car reads "BIG JIM GRONEN". Camera pans the length of the car to reveal the nose. CU of hand placed on the nose of the car. Audio talks about placing magnets on the tip of the car. The magnet stuck, suggesting a piece of metal had been placed at the tip to increase the speed. Camera pulls back to reveal more lettering on the car. It reads "Jaycee's Boulder, Colo.".
